    From S3 to S5

    The S5 is a little faster where it counts. It does not have the animated wallpaper I liked so well on the S3 and it does not have a native "block all calls - except-your-contact- list" program. I resolved the latter with an app called "Should I Answer?" (It is actually better.) The S5 screen is crisper when put side by side with the S3. The S5 HAS a SIM card. The S3 does not. I transferred the "Micro SD" from the S3 to the S5 and kept photos, songs, etc. I used Bluetooth to transfer contacts and that went very quickly and smoothly. The S5 is a bit bigger in physical dimensions. Buy a new "Otterbox" specifically for the S5.

    The ST Samsung S-5 Delivers

    I upgraded after finally killing off my Samsung S-3. It has become out-dated, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of transferring over files and reinstalling apps. The S-5 made the transition simple and it has outstanding performance. I inserted my micro sandisk the moment I opened it up and I have been pleased since. It runs off Verizon towers which are predominant for coverage in the region where we live. It does everything that the high dollar Verizon contract provides, but I am getting it for $45 a month plus E-911 fee and tax (reload card). I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would definitely buy it again if I had it to do over again!

    Galaxy S5

    I had been using a Galaxy S3 for just over 3 years and it was a very good phone. As I began using it more as a a mini-computer its age began to show. I chose the Galaxy S5 because of the price of it vs the newer S7 or wait for the S8 specifically because of price. Technically the 5 won't match the 7 but is still far ahead of the 3. So in three years or so when I can affort an 8... maybe I'll change then.
