I have an AcuRite Weather station and have been able to keep the outside monitor going over 10 years even with occasional wetting...Recently a greater than 80mph wind storm drove rain and sleet onto the unit over a couple days and I just wasn't able to revive it! Soooo, ordered a replacement, received promptly and got it working immediately... Back in Business!!!

IT JUST WORKS!

Bought as a replacement for a very old AcuRite weather station that was a gift. The outdoor sensor was not working reliably and would not maintain a connection to the indoor station even though it was well within range. The replacement worked perfectly and was immediately recognize by the indoor weather station and has been working for about a month in 100 degree heat and severe thunderstorms.
