I bought it on sale- bonus value! I have thick, straight hair. I really like the way this styling tool handles and leaves my hair silky smooth. It came with guidelines for temperature settings based on hair type - since not all hair does well at a standard heat setting. The tool does not have an auto off feature and I have to select my heat setting each time I turn it on but these are small trade offs. Best straight iron I have ever owned.
