Zinovy Shersher is an internationally acclaimed musician, performer, and artist. He was born in the former Soviet Union where he was unable to use his true name so he was also known as Zinovy Tumanov. Shersher emigrated to the U.S. in 1980 where he was able to reclaim his name and make a new start in his career. Finally free to express his artistic vision fully, Shersher flourished with songs and paintings of newfound brilliance. His success has continued throughout his two decades in America, featuring international tours, art shows, and worldwide acclaim. During the past two decades Zinovy wrote and produced 3 song albums: 'String', 'Dream', and 'Broken String'. Last season he released his Christmas record 'Merry Christmas, I wrote this Song for you,' a heartwarming mix of 5 original songs, instrumental and 5 traditional Christmas Carols. In February 2003 Shersher recorded his two originals with 118 musicians Mosfilm Orchestra in Moscow. In addition, he wrote a number of songs for Russian Singer-Stars. Shersher's musical and artistic talents are harmonized in paintings, which combine his emotions and culture into passionate melodic images. Maestro Shelly Cohen has been an integral part of America's music community for many years. Educated at Brooklyn College and Julliard, Shelly became assistant musical director for the Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson and remained so for 30 years until Johnny's retirement in 1992. Other television accomplishments include, music coordinator for the Emmy Award, The Today Shows 'Reflections Irving Berlin and Richard Rodgers' and writer/producer for two NBC, 'Christmas with Friends' and 'Noel.' Shelly has been the guest coordinator for the 'Los Angeles Pops,' ' Virginia Pops,' and the 'Pasadena Pops' orchestras, and is also the founder and conductor of the Pacific Pops Orchestra. His vision is to gather a group of versatile musicians capable of performing many styles of music. Shelly's writing and musical arrangements cover a broad spectrum of styles from classical to pops. Many of his compositions have been published. In addition he has produced and recorded many albums for various record companies. Two of albums were nominated for Grammies.
