Saphir Renovateur Shoe Polish- All-Purpose, Conditioner Luxury Leather Care Balm

This Saphir Renovateur leather balm is top of the line, as far as I know. I was pleased to find that the best price was at Walmart, where I don't pay delivery fee$. Saphir costs over three times as much as the average leather conditioner, so I only use it on my nicest leather shoes (and boots!, but not work boots), and on other leathers I want to be their best. The advantages of Saphir are that it goes a long way -- not much is needed -- and it does only darkens the leather very little, if at all; and it makes scuffing disappear very well, especially for not darkening the leather; and that it can leave a good shine if you want to buff it a little when you're done. Also the Saphir does not soften the leather as much as mink oil or some other products, so your fine leather goods don't lose their shape. Again, none of that matters so much for my work boots ,where I am only looking for a conditioner to keep the leather from drying out and maybe helping to waterproof it a little, but not looking for any shine or appearance, so work boots can use a less expen$ive product. But for shoes (or boots!) I want to look their best, the Saphir is well worth the premium price. After cleaning the shoe well, I apply Saphir with my fingertips, which works best and which also avoids wasting the product by filling up some cloth you'll only end up throwing out. Wait a few minutes, and give it a good brushing with a shoe brush, and lastly a buff with a sheepskin buffer or just a lint-free cloth.

This cream does a fabulous job of restoring life to dried leather material. It's not greasy and gets absorbed quickly into the pores of your leather goods. It gave my old cowboy boots a new life and look.
