I was pleasantly surprised when this comforter arrived. When we opened the box, the comforter was wrapped in a tissue paper to keep anything from getting it dirty. It was a very pristine snow white. Seeing that the comforter is as expensive as it is, my wife and I started checking the craftsmanship. Not a single flaw anywhere. Our only problem is that we have two large dogs, one of them being a "fur factory" Alaskan Malamute. So it will be covered in black, grey, and white hair if it's not protected. We will definitely be getting a cover for it before putting it on our bed. It's not very heavy, as far as actual weight goes, so that was a plus. My wife can't stand anything with a lot of weight on her. I am a night shift worker and, during the day, I sleep in a spare bedroom, that has the windows blacked out for daytime sleeping. I decided to give it a try yesterday in there, since the dogs aren't allowed in that room. I slept very comfortably considering that particular room gets pretty cool with the air conditioning on. I'm sure it will serve us well during the colder months. One thing I did notice was that the product information said there was supposed to be a travel tote that came with it. Ours didn't have one but it really isn't a big deal since we don't plan on taking it with us anywhere. All in all, we both give it a two thumbs up.

Very nice comforter/duvet insert. It could actually be used on the bed without going in a duvet cover. Theresa a nice sheen to it. Warmth wise, I would say it's probably right in the middle, not too heavy and not too light. Easy to insert into a duvet cover, especially if you use the California roll technique
