Chances are if you've gotten this far in the series you already love the characters and know that Rumiko Takashi is one of the best! Of course, there isn't as much excitement here as in the beginning of the series, and if you're familiar with the earlier seasons then you'll sense it as I did. Still, this season does include the 2-part special, "The Woman Who Loved Sesshomaru" which if you enjoy his character (and who doesn't?!) is one you won't want to miss. This season also features one of Takahashi Sensei's funniest episodes, in which the group gets intoxicated on a poisonous mist, resulting in multiple singing Kagomes and Sango trying to persuade Inuyasha to run away with her and leave the others in search of Naraku. Finally, the storyline evolves with the introduction of a few new characters who help to move the overall plot forward. The quality of the DVD's themselves is excellent--colors are sharp and vibrant, the sound is crystal clear. There aren't many extras, so if this is typically a draw for you, then you will probably be disappointed. Nevertheless it is a great opportunity to expand your anime collection and as I said, if you've come this far in the series then you need parts 6 and 7 to finish your set. If you're interested in the storyline beyond episode 167 though, you'll have to rely on reading the manga which continued well past the television series. So don't expect season 7 to end it all--it doesn't! Hopefully there will be a movie or OVA in which we can see the actual ending of the series...I know the ending but if you don't, I don't want to ruin it for you! I was thrilled to add this to my collection and I'm sure you will be too. This set offers both English dialogue, and Japanese dialogue with English subtitles...but I HIGHLY suggest watching in it Japanese...Enjoy!
