I mostly got this. just for the pure aesthetic. I wanted black utensils to go with the black dishware. these are actually really well made, this is not a coating that rubs off, and I've had very little discoloration from washing and having sediments in the water dry onto these utensils. These look fantastic for all metal utensils. I have no negative comment on this black silverware.
