Heartwarming, inspirational story

Autumn McCaw is driven to get her service dog business up and running, but desperately needs a certified dog trainer to pick up where her capabilities end. Wyatt Nelson seems to drop right into her lap, though he's the last person she expected, or wanted, to see. His skills fit the bill perfectly for the job, and the small apartment she's offering in lieu of payment fits his needs, and the needs of his young daughter, Harper. Autumn and Wyatt each have traumatic pasts, and each are gripping so tightly onto the emotional burdens of those pasts, neither has much hope for the future. Can they each learn how to “let go and let God”? Could letting go free up room in their hearts for a future together? I was completely invested in how these two characters came to trust not only each other, but the Lord. Author Heidi Main adroitly weaves threads of faith, friendship, and forgiveness in Her Loyal Companion. Settle in for this one, plus it has my favorite, an epilogue! I received a complimentary copy of this book, but my opinion is entirely my own.

Delightful!

If I could choose a story in which I could be one of the characters, this would be it. From fur babies to second, maybe even third chances, to redemption from a painful past through God's love and grace, this book will envelope your heart and your emotions. The author is an instrument of encouragement and healing as she allows her words to pour from her heart to the heart of the reader. Entertaining and refreshing!
