They lock and stay locked!

After having a cheap pair of 12 inch tongs unlock inside my kitchen drawer making it almost impossible to open the drawer and get the darned thing out, I bought this brand which has a patented locking system which really works (I already own a shorter pair which I've had for years which still functions perfectly.) Yes, I highly recommend!
