I was skeptical about this item at first but was desperate for a way to calm my Goldendoodle (beside drugging her) when fireworks or thunderstorms were happening outside. Her whole life, she would shake, cower, wander around looking for a place to hide and quite often lose control of her bladder whenever those loud sounds were happening. Since I began slipping this anxiety jacket on her, she's been much calmer when those loud noises are occurring and the frequency of her losing control of her bladder has been reduced around 90%. Now, I slip the jacket on her 12-24 hours before the arrival of a thunderstorm and just leave it on her 24/7 during the weeks surrounding holidays involving fireworks use. She even appears happy (wagging her tail and prancing' excitedly) whenever I hold it up and approach her to slip it on. This particular jacket is lightweight, inexpensive and easy to slip on or off a pet, as it is a simple design and uses velcro closures. It's one of the best investments I've ever made for my old girl and I wish I had gotten her one long ago. I can happily recommend it to any dog owner who's pet has problems with loud noises, as it's a 'cheap fix' (this one cost less than $20 and they range even higher in price, as well) which has alleviated the long-term behavioral issue of noise sensitivity for my 14 yr old doodle. I feel that it's an excellent investment for a dog's emotional health and you can always return it (within 30 days) if it doesn't work for your pet.

I bought a size too large so I ordered a smaller size cause everything runs small that I've purchased before but if you order the size he or she wears normally and should fit I ordered a large and it too big I have a (Boston terrier) and he wears a medium that fits him beautifully
