LAMY Red Fountain Pen, Extra Fine Nib

This is a real Lamy Safari- at least what I got. It's a flagship pen from a respectable company. Great for beginners wanting to dive into the fountain pen world and is a workhorse of a pen. Although a plastic build, it's sturdy and is even given to school children in Germany! The grip section guides your fingers in the proper position which I feel is okay. That will be down to preference. Although this is a great pen, I'd recommend looking at the Pilot Metropolitan as well. That pen is cheaper and has a converter that allows you to refill the ink inside the pen (which runs out faster than a normal rollerball pen). Otherwise, you're gonna have to buy the converter separately as this pen only comes with one cartridge. All in all, not a disappointing pen at all. Sturdy, great for beginners, and a workhorse. However, it is worth taking a look at the Pilot Metropolitan.
