Perfect Eggo waffle clones! Just brush a little oil on the grates, add 1/4 cup prepared pancake mix per waffle, and when it's done steaming the green light comes on and they're done. 2 cups of dry Great Value complete pancake mix prepared according to directions on box makes a dozen waffles. You don't even need to add the egg and oil like it says on the box of mix for making waffles. I tried that first and they were heavy and more dry than just using the pancake mix directions. If you have 1/2 hour to make a whole batch of 12 and freeze them, you have cheap and convenient breakfast for now and later. Or, just stir up a little mix and make 2. This would be good if you're snowed in at The Overlook Hotel, don't have Eggos, and have a little time to kill. You can probably make Johnny Cakes in it and yell "Here's Johnny!" Your kids might not get the reference, but they'll probably still think you've lost your mind.

I like it! I've been making waffles to use in place of buns for sandwiches. Five eggs, a hand full of shredded cheese and some ground pork rinds makes about six and a half waffles. I don't measure anything, so you'll just have to wing it. It'll be good. You could just use eggs and it'd still come out alright. Bout three minutes seems to be just right. I make a batch and save the leftovers for later.
