    Excellent Product/Great Bargain

I purchased this reflector telescope in hopes of being able to see Denver up-close from our living-room view-windows, 40 miles away in the mountains. UNbelievable! I can see CARS moving along on streets in Denver; can even see cars 70 miles away or so. So...as a terrestrial telescope, it's quite amazing. Next, I'll be turning it to the heavens. Very pleased!

    astromaster 76eq

An excellent quality scope on a budget. Although this is a smaller aperture telescope among reflectors, it is a high quality one, evident in all components included. I am still learning about astronomy, and this telescope was the next step in my journey. I must also say the site to store option was surprisingly easy also. Upon unpacking the scope, I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of this one. Every piece is well made. My 2 other ones are smaller refractors, an older 50mm Bushnell and a 60mm Celestron. Though only a step up from the Powerseekers, there is a huge difference in quality. The scope includes a 20mm erecting eyepiece and a 10mm kellner. I previously bought a set of Plossls which will make it even better. Very happy, especially for the price I paid.

The best buy for this telescope...

I got the Astromaster 76EQ and its been a great scope so far. The Mount is pretty stable, even when a breeze comes in its tolerable. It has nice eyepieces to start with, a 20mm erect image eyepiece for views on earth, and a 10mm for up close lunar/nebulae/planetary shots. I would recommend getting more eyepieces, although the visuals(especially moon shots) are fantastic with the supplied eyepieces. The Red dot finder is kind of tricky at first but easy to get used to. This was my first EQ mounted telescope and its easy to learn how to use and built very well. The price they are posting for this scope here is WAY lower than other stores so if you want a AWESOME scope for less money, dont hesitate to buy this awesome scope at walmart.com.
