Good Chips At A Good Price

We bought two bags of these chips and we liked them. They were very good, and pleasantly salty, but not too salty. The price was really good. This is a family sized bag, and you get your money's worth. The texture was good, and there were no burnt pieces in the bag, which is a definite plus. We don't eat chips on a regular basis, but the next time we wanted some, I would definitely buy these again. They are great dipping chips, and hold up well.

Turn the Oil Machine Down!

Great Value potato chips are loaded with oil. I have purchased the chips, got home to put away the groceries and oil would be leaking from the chip bag. Also, too many times to count, oil seeps out of the bottom of the bag if you have the bag in an upright position in your cabinet. I worked in a factory at one time that made generic products and some Great Value products. I ran a computerized oven and the oil machine. Where ever these chips are made, someone is going way over board on the oil. I doubt I will buy them any more because this has been going on for years! They would be good if it wasn't for the oil overload.
