Works with Maximum Speeds Possible

Works great, data moves as fast as the drive can handle if you use spindle drives. For SSD's I was moving about 300MBps. Most times I'm moving data through a GB network so that network was the bottleneck. The desktop size spindle drives require the power adapter to be plugged in which this came with. The 2.5" laptop drives do not require the extra power adapter to accomplish the speeds.

I have two desktops and a laptop none of which have an optical drive. So, I purchased one of the thin, flimsy type, that just aren't the same as a regular optic unit that hits inside of a PC. I thought if there was an adapter for some of the extra DVD-RW units that I have setting around it would be great to convert them to an external. Bingo, this product from Unitek popped up, and so far it has been great. In fact, I purchased two of them.
