2 Pot set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like the option of having different sizes of pots to cook with that aren't cast iron. Also, I like something that fits my Mesa XL so I don't have to cook over a big fire all the time.

Perfect for that extra level of confidence

I purchased the tripod to use with the Solo Campfire and cookset. Was it necessary? No. The Solo Campfire and cookset are well built. A quite sturdy. But when you have 2 Liters of stew in the pot and over the flames, the last thing you want is for an inadvertant bump to send dinner into the dirt. Have no fear that the tripod is sturdy enough. In it's first test, I boiled up 2 Liters of water in the big pot, fully suspended from the tripod. If anything, the rig seems to tighten up with the suspended weight. In camp, it is actually nice to leave the pot on the tripod, but away from the Solo Stove, for serving. You can conserve table space without putting the pot on the ground. Collapsed, the tripod packs to a length a few inches taller than the packed Solo Campfire, so storing the tripod in the Solo stuff bag isn't a good option.

Tripod for Solo Stove

Lightweight and easily stored when disassembled. Could even be use over a small fire without the stove if need be. Seems durable and made of high quality material. When legs are put together a small amount of squeaking occurred but a puff of lock graphite stopped that. Definitely reduces the amount of soot onto pot but that was not a major concern of mine . I believe the main benefit for me will be the use of it in keeping something warm without sitting it directly onto the stove. Also for something you would want to cook slow at lower temps. This will be my first tripod for camping. I will keep this in my camping gear and would recommend this as good item for anyone. Good price, light weight, easily stored, a nice addition for your camp.
