Old Time Radio Legends Jack Benny

My dad was a JB fan from back in the day when he listened to it on the radio like so many millions. When dad passed on, I inherited several CDs of the radio shows and found the humor very funny and still relatable today, so scoured internet to find some more. This interested me as there were SO MANY shows on it. Seems someone taped it off the radio at some point, so many very early shows had sketchy quality and clipped to suit the taste of the recorder (ie not complete) but the recordings are so very rare and the very old ones werent as appealing to me anyway so it was generally ok. Episodes jump all over out of order and a couple were repeats. But most of the ones I liked (The 40s and 50s radio) were generally complete and audible (again, not PERFECT but fine considering the rarity) as well as interesting. Especially liked the talk show interviewing JBs daughters memories--so special someone saved something so nice! Anyone like me exploring the awe of JB will get some interviews and clips of him on "Tonight Show" as well as shows thru the decades so you will not only get some original comedy bits but overview of the person himself. So, despite the sketchy clarity of some episodes I would highly recommend because as a whole this is both interesting and funny! And the price is such that it is affordable to give it a try! You can probably listen via computer but I purchased an inexpensive flash drive player that inserts in the jack in my car, so I could listen to it while driving as I drive a long distance to work and wanted a break from the music I play over and over. Its been a fun little switch and theres a LOT of material so its lasting a long while.
