Too Old Manufacture's Date

The helmet was great, however, helmets have a date inside them when they were manufactured because helmets last about: some studies say 5-7 years others say 7-10 years off the shelf if they have not been used. When I received this helmet I believe the manufacturers dated was 2020, which meant the helmet was already 6 years old. Had the helmet had a newer manufacturer's date, I would have kept it because I loved it. The color, fit and everything was great!
