The chairs were advertised as 80% assembled. However, everything - the arms, rockers, front and back crossbars on the legs had to be assembled to the back and seat of the chairs. Of course, you wouldn't expect to have to put each board on the seat and each board on the back of the chair. It really requires complete assembly.
