It's a bit unstable until you screw in the bottom supports--for that, you'll probably need drywall anchors, and we couldn't find ones that worked anywhere but lowes. But once it was supported it did its job beautifully. All 5 cats love it, and 3 of them can be on it at once without issue (before the drywall anchors, it dipped/wobbled with a single 10 pound cat on it).

I have a cat that loves to lay on the window sill and thought I would try this to make it a little more comfortable and roomy for her. The installation was easy and quick. (I used the tape method not the screws). . Then every time I passed by the window another one of my cats was up laying on it. Needless to say I purchased 2 more and the cats love them. My cats are from abt 7 lbs up to abt 15 lbs and have had no problem with the sturdiness of this ledge. The pad was pretty thick and covered with washable cover. I haven't washed them yet so don't know about the durability of the material.
