The Accumulair Diamond is one of the highest efficiency filters on the market. With a MERV 13 filter rating, it removes particulates measuring from 0.3 microns to 1.0 microns. This means it removes a variety of indoor air pollutants, including dust mites, mold spores, pet dander, pollen, tobacco smoke, some viruses, and all bacteria. The Accumulair Diamond uses electrostatic filtration, which attracts particles using a special synthetic filter media. It has a dust spot efficiency of 89-90%, making it more than 30 times more efficient than regular fiberglass filters and almost equivalent to a true HEPA filter.
