Follow Directions - Important

I recently painted all my ceilings with a flat white ceiling paint from Sherwin Williams. Since I had a lot to paint I looked at using the 18" roller system from Purdy. I selected the Colossus cover for my semi rough ceilings but was hesitant after reading the reviews with the lint issue. I noticed on the plastic cover it states that you should wash and wipe the cover before using to minimize the lint. I "washed" the cover before using and was able to remove a significant amount of lint. Once I washed the majority of lint from the roller and drying it a bit, I started painting. I never had an issue with lint and it held and released paint better than I could imagine. Splatter was so minimal that in several sections I didn't even through down a tarp for small areas. I was so pleased that I have shared with several people my experience. I also used a plastic kitchen bag in between stoppages to hold the large 18" size and prevent drying out.

BEST ROLLER NAP ON THE PLANET !!!!

This product in my opinion is the very best. Washes very quickly, holds a mass amount of paint but the only setback is that the 14" only comes in 3/4", would be nice if they had a 1/2".... Other than that, absolutely perfect !!!!

Great long lasting rollers

These rollers are awesome! I've used them for my whole 6 years of my painting career. I use them all, (4in. 9in. 18in.), always a 1/2in. thickness for the low texture. I wouldn't recommend it on smooth ceilings. Yes, it "SHEDS" brand new. It's IMPORTANT to PREP any roller to STOP shedding & ready for painting.♤ * "PREPARING/ CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS" are located on the roller's wrapper. * USE TAPE TO STOP SHEDDING! (Recommended) •Roll on tape to Roller on & off. Repeat 3× •Then PRE-WET roller, rub with hands & "SPIN DRY" •Good prep of the roller will result in no shedding or very little. * Also, with good washing and care these rollers will last you years!, but not forever. You will have buy new ones. Some ppl want to keep them forever. * You will notice when your roller is old & can't perform well. The hairs can get too stiff, it will leave lines on edges, the roller cover can break and hair can peel off.
