Keeps the Gnats out of his ears.
One of my horses attracts gnats in a big way. The others don't have that much problem with them. I decided to replace his regular mask without ears this time with one that did have ears. It has done a good job of keeping both the flies and gnats away from his face this summer.

Good fit for my boys
I get these every year for my two OTTB geldings. They are comfortable and fit them well. The material is sturdy and stands up to thier playing around and daily wear.
