This item extended my Wi-Fi so I could use both of my "smart" TV's up in my bonus room and in my bedroom where previously I could not. Forget about the directions that come with the product and use an iPad to sync it with your t.v's etc. and it does it just about automatically. With the iPad, it took about 90 seconds to set up; with their dirctions using the "WPS" button it did NOT work at all. By chance you don't have an iPad (iPods also work as well), borrow one just to set up the system.
