TRIPP LITE 24-Port 1U Rackmount Cat6 Feedthrough Patch Panel, RJ45 Ethernet

I just moved into a new home, which gave me the opportunity to finally set up a server rack and have one that didn't look like a jungle of patch cables. This patch panel played a vital role in this goal. Not only does it make everything look orderly, it also takes away the pain of having to punch down every wire. I love it with all my heart and I will definitely buy more if my home network grows.

I was installing gigabit networking in my home. After setting up all my cable drops pulled down to wall outlets, I installed a competitor's patch panel in my wiring closet. None of the drops tested OK with that panel. In fact, the testing gave strange readings but not good/bad. After a week of testing - checking connection - testing again, I disconnected that panel and ordered the Tripp-Lite patch panel. After punching down all the cable ports from the drops, everything worked perfectly and my gigabit - Cat6 network tested great and works as expected. I would definitely go with this panel again, and I'll suggest it to anyone I meet that is doing the networking I did.
