It is 100% cotton like it says. It is lightweight and does not feel heavy. We do not use a sheet or anything else. We only sleep under the comforter and it is perfect for us. Description says it's xtra king size. It is Definitely more than the typical king size.

I initially was concerned it would be thin like a sheet (like many other oversized comforters) however, when I fluffed it up, it was huge, soft, fluffy, pillow like and wonderful without being too light or too heavy. Not crunchy, no noise, no weird funky smells, or issues with scratchy fabric. I have not washed it, and I hope it holds up to that test. Overall, I am very pleased. I do want to mention for anyone thinking it is "down" it is not. It is a very silky, soft, fluffy polyester. I ordered it knowing that fact, because my favorite comforter of 14 years made also with polyester fill finally is worn out and needed replacing. With careful washing ( cold wash-Fluff or air dry) I am hoping it will last a while. I ordered the "blue", and maybe I am color-blind, but it appears more seafoam green to me, but the color was not a deal breaker for not wrestling the hubby for my share of the comforter. If it last and holds up, I will order the white one.
