Good Looking Tire, But 225 Tire Is TOO Skinny

I ordered these 225/75-15 tires to replace existing white wall tires. However, despite being identical in numeric designation in regards to size, the tires tread is 1" skinnier than my existing tire Aurora H715....and the Aurora was already 3/4" skinnier than previous tire. So, I don't know what is going on with tire sizes, but a 225 should be 8 1/4" in tread width. It isn't. It is like 6 1/4". Overall tire width is 7 3/4". If you want a tire with a nice wide 1 7/16" white wall, this might be good for you. But the tire is awfully skinny.
