1.00 Carat Excellent Cut Natural Diamond Stud Earrings Solid Real 18K White Gold Six Prong Studs (VS1-VS2 Clarity, F-G Color)

This was a terrible experience! I saw that the seller was someone with an unusual name but I had no idea that he was in another country. I was hesitant to spend so much money online, for something I couldn't see in person so I went to a local Walmart to speak with the Jewelry associate. She assured me that all diamonds sold by Walmart come with the certification showing color, cut and clarity. Thus reassured, I bought the earrings. The delivery date was given as Dec. 4, which was perfect timing since I would be visiting the granddaughter for whom the earrings were a special gift. I arrived late on Dec. 3, eagerly awaiting the delivery of the earrings the next day. The money had been taken out of my account so I knew they'd been shipped--since the money is usually not paid until the seller has shipped the item. I checked my email the next day only to find that delivery had supposedly been delayed until Dec. 8. I began to worry but didn't panic yet. I would still be there on Dec. 8. In the next couple of days I checked the UPS tracking, which stated that the item was STILL IN India. "INDIA???!!!!" I thought. That was the first that I knew of that they were coming from India. I sent a message to the seller through Walmart, asking where the package was, especially since he already had my money. He answered that he would ship it "tomorrow!" I continued checking the UPS tracking over the next day or so, and it still hadn't shipped. I then called Walmart customer service. The customer service rep was very, very nice but she was obviously a foreigner and I wasn't sure how well she understood the situation, or how desperately worried I was. She assured me that the package would arrive within the next 4 days. She PROMISED. The next day I received a notification from UPS tracking that the package would not ship until I pad forty-some odd dollars in tariffs! It still hadn't shipped and I would be leaving to return home in 3 days. I spoke to the customer service representative and she assured me that the seller was liable for any fees or tariffs and that he would pay them. I flew home on Monday, Dec. 15, as per my plane ticket. The package arrived that afternoon and by phone I asked my son to open it for me. He did so, to find paperwork stating that the earrings were costume jewelry worth only about $26. There was no diamond certification included. My daughter-in-law took the earrings to 3 different jewelers to try to get them unofficially evaluated as to whether they're costume jewelry or not. The first two jewelers wouldn't hazard a guess, but said for a $150 charge, they could send them off to be appraised. The third man kindly "eyeballed" them, told her that the seller was probably trying to avoid customs fees by calling them costume, and said he thinks they're diamonds, either lab grown or natural, but of course can't be sure. This whole thing was an awful ordeal from start to finish. I thought I could trust Walmart.

Received the item but there was a Customs letter attached to the packing slip that stated that the item is imitation jewelry only and contains no Gold, Silver, or other precious metals. The description clearly states that this is natural diamonds and 18K White Gold. Not at all happy with what I received.
