I hate pulling T-posts by hand so I was looking for something to make it easier on myself. I saw the manual puller and decided for that price I could give it a try. Works great! Pulled 300' of snow fence posts quickly and with little effort. I particularly like how it grabs at the knobs when you pull the post, but then "rachets" down when you need to make a second or third pull. You don't have to remove it and reset it on the post to continue. Some reviews talked about the bottom plate not being big enough. I pulled 100' of fence posts in a worked up corn field after the frost was out of the ground (mostly). It was soft and muddy, yet the puller didn't sink much and the post came right out. Even pulled the posts that I angle at about 45 degrees on the ends of the runs. Just lean the puller at the same angle and they came rignt out of the ground with little effort. Really glad I bought this!

While I don't have much experience with it yet, we did pull a 1.5" pole from 24" deep without any difficulty at all (we couldn't budge it by hand). I see no reason to expect less in the future. It is very sturdy, too, with a heavy paint coating on it. I wouldn't be surprised if it could pull maybe a 1000 pounds.
