The Yakima HoldUp +2 Add-On is a modular expansion designed to double the capacity of the 2-inch HoldUp base rack. By integrating this extension, you transition from a 2-bike to a 4-bike system without replacing your primary hardware. This setup is built for group or family transport, supporting a wide range of bike styles including mountain, road, and e-bikes up to 50 lbs each. The design focuses on stability and frame protection; the StrongArm hook secures the bike specifically by the front tire, ensuring no contact with the bike's paint or carbon fiber frame. For daily use, the rack maintains vehicle accessibility through a 3-position tilting mechanism. This allows you to lower the rack to reach the rear hatch even when all four bikes are loaded. When the rack is not in use, the trays fold flat against the vehicle to maintain a compact profile. To simplify loading multiple bikes, the trays feature adjustable offset positions, which helps prevent interference between handlebars and seats when different bike geometries are parked side-by-side. The system is designed to accommodate a wide range of hardware, fitting wheel sizes from 20 to 29 inches and tire widths up to 4.8 inches. It supports bike wheelbases ranging from 34 to 50 inches.
