I spent my entire childhood trying to build Star Trek and Star Wars ships from LEGO. I had moderate success. When LEGO can out with Star Wars in 1999 I bought every kit I could afford. But my heart has always been with Star Trek especially TNG. 38 years ago I watched Encounter at Farpoint and began my mission to build an accurate Enterprise D, my childhood dreams are coming true. You gave me everything I wanted in one kit. I don't have to buy 4 kits to get mini figures off the main cast, it's all here! Thank you LEGO for making adults that have loved your products since their childhood a priority.

This set was a perfect experience. I enjoyed every minute of the building process. I paired the building with some of my favorite TNG episodes: "Yesterday's Enterprise", "The Inner Light", "Deja Q", "Cause and Effect", and "The First Duty" -- do yourself a favor and do something similar!

Resistance is futile

I grew up watching Star trek TNG so I couldn't resist the first day purchase. I always loved the show and was a nice escape to a world full of adventures but also full of societal constructs and predictions about modern civilization. This set does a good job staying loyal to the USS Enterprise's shape on TNG. I was unsure about the octagon shape especially from the bottom view, but the way that was concealed on the top to make it look more oval like the actual ship is fantastic. The minifigs are amazing. LEGO really hit the ball out of the park with this one. Add on the GWP and it's chef's kiss.
