Substitutes are offered on all pickup and delivery orders. We do not substitute items on shipping orders.

If your order contains substituted items, you can refuse those items at point of pickup or through the pre-delivery notification/email you’ll receive for delivery orders and you won’t be charged for these items.

Yes—if the substituted item costs more than the original item, it will be charged at the actual item price.

No—you’ll still only see one charge to your card, the final billed amount will be confirmed once your order has been picked up or dispatched from store.

If an item has been paid using EBT SNAP but is not available, any substitutions you allow for will be charged in the following manner:

If you do not select a backup method of payment for the order but allow for substitutions, we will substitute with an item that is the same or lower priced as the original item. If an alternate item is not available, the original item will be cancelled and a refund will be issued to your EBT SNAP card.

If you select a backup method of payment for the order and we must substitute with an item of higher price, any difference in cost for your substitution will be charged to the alternate payment card. Amounts charged to non-SNAP payment methods will be subject to tax.

Yes, it's easy. Locate the order through Your Account > Purchase History and select "Edit Order"—from there you can make changes to your order, including substitution preferences.

Yes. When you’re reviewing your substitution preferences, you can choose not to substitute any of your items by toggling over the switch next to “Allow substitutions for this order.”

Yes, you’ll be charged the actual item price for Best Match items as well as any substitution preferences you have personally selected. You do still have the option to refuse those items at point of pickup or through the pre-delivery notification and email you’ll receive for delivery orders, and you won’t be charged for those items.
