Choosing the right size for a fall sweater can make all the difference in comfort and style. Check the product's size chart—each brand may fit a little differently. If you like a relaxed or oversized look, consider sizing up. For a more fitted style, stick to your usual size.

• Read customer reviews for tips on fit.
• Look for sweaters with stretch if you want extra flexibility.
• Remember, layering underneath may require a bit more room.

If you're unsure, Walmart's easy returns make it simple to try different sizes at home.

To help keep your knit sweaters looking their best, always check the care label first. Most fall sweaters do well with gentle washing.

• Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent for delicate knits.
• If machine washing, use a mesh bag and select a gentle cycle.
• Lay flat to dry to help prevent stretching or misshaping.

Avoid hanging sweaters, as this can cause them to lose their shape over time. These steps can help extend the life of your favorite fall pieces.

Many fall sweaters are designed with layering in mind.

• Chunky knits and oversized styles can easily fit over tees or button-downs.
• Cardigans and open-front sweaters are great for adding warmth without bulk.
• Look for relaxed fits if you plan to wear multiple layers underneath.

While these sweaters can add warmth, you may want to pair them with a jacket or coat for extra cold days. Layering lets you adjust your comfort as temperatures change throughout the season.

Fall sweaters are super versatile and can be dressed up or down.

• Pair a crewneck with jeans and boots for a casual look.
• Layer a cardigan over a dress for a cozy office outfit.
• Try a cropped sweater with high-waisted pants for a trendy vibe.
• For festive occasions, choose sweaters with seasonal patterns or colors.

Accessories like scarves, hats, and statement jewelry can help you personalize your look for any event.

Pilling and snags are common with knitwear, but there are ways to manage them.

• Use a fabric shaver or sweater comb to gently remove pills.
• For snags, carefully pull the loose thread through to the inside using a crochet hook or needle.
• Avoid cutting snags, as this can create holes.

Washing sweaters inside out and storing them folded (not hung) can help reduce future pilling and snags. These tips can help keep your fall sweaters looking fresh all season long.
