Air mattresses
Sleep like a king or queen no matter where you are when you pack a sturdy, comfy air mattress with your supplies. Whether you're camping in the woods, crashing at a friend's place, or sleeping over at a festival, a solid air mattress gives you all of the support and cushioning you need. Air mattresses also make great guest beds or permanent RV bedding.
Air mattress types: Most air mattresses are made of polyvinyl chloride, polyester fibers, reinforced urethane plastic, or rubber. Some air mattresses have soft, flocked upper surfaces for increased comfort. Choose air mattresses with built-in pillows and headboards for adults or inflatable side rails for small children. Twin, full, and queen-size air mattresses are available.
Air mattress inflation: Air mattresses are sold in a deflated state. The easiest way to inflate an air mattress is with a manual, handheld, or electric air pump. Some air mattresses are self-inflating.
Be aware that some air mattresses take several days to fully stretch and inflate. If the air mattress seems to lose pressure when you first inflate it, don't assume the product is leaking. Continue to add air for several days to allow the air mattress to fully stretch.
