What are some easy holiday treats to make for a crowd
For a crowd-pleasing festive treat that’s both delicious and easy, consider making a dessert that you can make in bulk. Sugar cookies, dessert bars, chocolate bark, and brownies are easy to make in large quantities and don’t require a lot of prep work or decorating. To add in some holiday flair, make sugar cookies in festive shapes, top brownies with a quick dusting of powdered sugar, or crush mint candies over chocolate bark before hardening.
How do you use a cookie press?
A cookie press allows you to make many cookies in your desired shape with just the push of a trigger. Add room temperature cookie dough to your cookie press by unscrewing the bottom and filling the barrel with the dough. Choose which cookie disk you want to use and attach it to the end of the press. Once the dough is loaded, hold the press upright with the disk almost touching the cookie sheet and press the trigger once to form the cookie. Change out the disk to make different shapes.
What do I need to make homemade biscuits?
Making biscuits at home requires only a few ingredients and kitchen tools. Most biscuit recipes call for flour, butter, milk or buttermilk, eggs, baking powder, and salt. You’ll need a biscuit cutter, a mixing bowl, and a grater or knife to grate or cut the cold butter into the flour mixture. Have a flat surface cleaned for rolling out the dough and preparing the dough for cutting and baking.
