What are chisel-tip markers?

Chisel-tip markers have slanted tips that you can use to make either broad or fine lines. Use a chisel-tip marker for highlighting class notes, creating calligraphy, or lettering signs. For more detailed artwork or lettering, choose markers that have fine tips, brush tips, or bullet tips.

Which marker's color lasts the longest?

Drawings and art made with alcohol-based markers generally last longer than art that's created using water-based markers. However, water-based markers are available in a wider range of color and tip choices.

Will dry erase markers work on surfaces other than whiteboards?

Yes. Dry erase markers can work on most nonporous surfaces including melamine, glass, and porcelain. Some paper and film laminates also accept dry erase ink but may turn yellow over time and resist the ink.
