Organic Milk in Milk
About Organic Milk in Milk - Walmart.com
How does milk qualify as organic?
In order to be labeled organic, milk must meet guidelines set by the United States Department of Agriculture(USDA). These guidelines include that the cows must eat all organic feed, graze on organically-managed land, and not be given hormones or antibiotics to increase milk production or speed up growth.
Are organic milk and grass-fed milk the same thing?
Milk can be grass-fed and organic, but all grass-fed cows aren't organic and all organic cows aren't grass-fed. Organic milk comes from cows that are certified organic by the USDA. Grass-fed milk comes from cows that are raised on a pasture and eat grass their entire lives instead of grain. One thing both have in common is that the cows are never given hormones or antibiotics.
Are most vegan milks organic?
Just like dairy milk, vegan and plant-based milks, like almond milk and oat milk, come in both organic and nonorganic forms. Always check your label to ensure the one you're buying is organic if that's important to you.
