Bottled Water in Water
About Bottled Water in Water - Walmart.com
What's the difference between purified and distilled water?
Purified water is filtered so that chemicals and contaminants are removed but most of the minerals remain. When water is distilled, everything is removed, including the minerals.
Can I drink distilled water?
It is safe to drink distilled water, but it will taste flatter than regular water because the minerals are removed. Distilled water can pick up minerals from the container it's kept in. Distilled water is more often used in steam irons or a car's radiator. You can safely water your plants with distilled water, and you can use it in aquariums as long as you add some minerals to the tank.
Where does bottled water come from?
Bottled water comes from aquifers, springs, surface water, and even tap water. Bottled water that comes from the tap does have the mineral content changed so it is different than the water you draw from your home faucets. Check the packaging or product description for information on where a brand's water comes from.
