How should die-cast cars be cleaned?

If a die-cast car has light dust, use a microfiber cloth to wipe it. If you need more than a dry cloth, dampen the cloth with warm water. For heavier dust and dirt, use a dampened cotton cloth. If dirt is caked on, you can use mild soap. Cotton swabs and toothpicks can help with hard-to-reach places, such as interior seats. For a die-cast car with heavy grime, submerge it in warm water for 30 to 60 seconds. Dry with a cotton cloth, and be sure it's completely dry to prevent rust. You can use a hairdryer to speed up drying time.

How should I store die-cast cars?

For safe storage, use a heavy plastic case or suitcase and keep it in a cool, dark place, such as a closet. If you're displaying die-cast cars, it's best to use clear display cases to keep them free of dust.

Can die-cast cars be painted?

You can paint over the paint on a die-cast car, but first, you should use a primer. Most spray paints will cover well; just be sure it works with your primer to avoid bubbles or bleeding.
