Facial sunscreen
Protect your skin from sunburn and premature aging when you use a facial sunscreen. Choose one to suit your skin type and lifestyle and decide which level of protection you prefer.
- Skin type: For oily skin, go for a sunscreen that gives you a matte finish. For dry skin, choose a sunscreen with hydrating ingredients, such as ceramides or hyaluronic acid. Go for unscented sunscreen with sensitive skin because fragrances act as irritants.
- Lifestyle: For daily use, choose a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30. When spending a prolonged amount of time in the sun, use a higher factor. When taking part in water activities, choose a water-resistant sunscreen.
- Protection: Broad-spectrum sunscreen protects against both types of ultraviolet (UV) rays (UVA and UVB). Physical sunscreen, or mineral sunscreen, blocks incoming UV rays completely. Chemical sunscreens contain chemicals that screen a range of UV rays.
