Best shaver I have ever used!

I struggled with the cost of this shaver compared to others on the market, but in the end decided to spend the money on this one. This is above and beyond the best shaver and exceeded all my expectations. I also use it to shave my head and it also works great for that. You won't be disappointed.

    GREAT PRODUCT!

    I used Phillips shavers my whole life (I was born in Holland) and was never disappointed with their products. The only comment I have on this shaver although minor is that I would like the trimmer to be longer. It is hard to see when you are using it although it's maybe because I am left handed. (Ha, ha)

    Great product from Phillips Norelco

    I believe this razor has met my match. Nice close shave without irritations. Cleans easily. Have not tried wet shave yet but I would bet it would be great.

    The last of the good Norelco razors

    I've been using Norelco rotary razors for over 30 years. I'm probably on my 5th one or so. I've watched Norelco come up with new features and new styles as the years have gone by, This razor, the 1250x looks to be the last of the good ones, unless Norelco smartens up and fixes the newest ones. First, the 3D shave is wonderful, flexing every way possible works, close shave, very comfortable. And on THIS razor, the pop up trimmer is just OK, a few models ago, with the large swing up trimmer was the BEST, this smaller pop up trimmer is OK. BUT MUCH better than the NEWEST razors that don't have a built in trimmer, you have to pop off the whole shave head and pop on a separate trimmer, NO NO!     This product is great if you have the time

    I have been using this product for wet shaves and it is exvcellent, though it does take time. I would recommend it highly above any blade shaving system, though it doesn't give as close a shave. It does pretty well, though, given the fact that it considerably reduces burns and nicks produced by conventional blades.

    Nicely designed, comfortable to use.

    This razor replaces my 10 year old Norelco. The new model has a more comfortable handle and provides a more effective shave with less effort. The only shortcoming is the design of the trimmer. Though it appears more durable than the previous design, it is more difficult to see where you are cutting as the shaving head is larger and more awkward to see around.

    So quiet you don't even know it's working

    Ok, I really like the shave - it is close and comfortable. But it isn't quick. I went from a microfoil shaver to this rotary shaver, and I need to go over my face 3+ times with this shaver to get the same shave I'd get with one or two passes with the microfoil. The trade off is that this shaver is very quiet and comfortable, so much so that I sometimes even question whether or not it is working at all! The cleaning unit is bigger than I anticipated. There is a separate charging unit just to charge the shaver, but they both use the same cord and they only give you one cord. This means that you need to swap the cord back and forth between the cleaning unit and the charging unit. It would be much more convenient if the cord had two plugs inst...

    NORELCO is Better than Braun

    Before you read on - I use this razor to shave my face AND head. WALMART's normal price was right in line with other internet sites (BBB, Best Buy, AMAZON, etc). When they offered $50 off it just couldn't be beat. It was my deciding moment. A couple of years ago I replaced a cheap Norelco with the top Braun. I ended up using the old Norelco to clean up after the Braun. When both needed replacement blades (yes, I waited a long time = translate 'cheap cheap') I figured the cost for blades justified a new razor. So far this one is far better than the Braun. While it's not as close as a 'real' razor, it is good enough & safer (I hate nicking the ole noggin). Reason for STARS 4* Overall = Blades are better but this is the best I've used 5* Us...

    Original is great Replace blade head is not so good.

    I just received two RQ12 replace heads and they are not up to standard. I am very disappointed that the replacement heads are not the same as the original shaving head. I will not purchase any more replacement heads and will toss the razor as soon as the 2nd replacement head is worn.

    Great close shave fast and quiet!

    My old Norelco razor died because I dropped it. I planned to buy another but purchased the more expensive SensoTouch 3D. It was hard to imagine any improvement over the previous model but I was hopeful that the newer one was not just stimulate sales. I am very pleased to learn the newer product is much better. The shape is more natural and takes less effort to hold which is a big plus for painful hands. The shaver is quieter and the batteries keep a more constant speed evan when nearly drained. While all these points are noteworthy I am most impressed that the SensoTouch 3D gives me a closer and quicker shave than your previous top model.

    great shaver

    Great product, close shave, flexible heads a plus. easy to clean, trimmer is fair, power last long time, fits hand well. I would have given performance a 5 if the shave was just a tad better. in order to get a close shave I have to apply some pressure or go over the area over and over again... ... this irritates my face, especially around the neck area. Not as good as a razor but its adequate. Expensive although i have not purchased replacement heads, i understand that they are quite pricey which is a problem... but I will worry about that later.

    Good razor

    The razor fits well in your hand and is very comfortable to use. the floating heads design is much better at getting around the curves of the neck at the throat and chin. Still a minor irritation to the skin because I have to go over the area under the chin several times to get all the stubble, it misses quite a bit the first time over.

    As a blade shaver since I was young I was skeptical of trying to use an electric razor. But I was pleasantly surprised. I still don't get the very close shave that I used to get with a blade but that's to be expected. However, the shave that I get with this razor is pretty darn close! And I don't have to worry about the nicks and cuts I was getting with the blade, especially on the upper lip where I have a scar. That's always been a bad place to shave.

    Best electric I've ever used.

    Good close shave with no irritation, cuts long and short, thick and thin hairs. Trimmer feature is functional but is recessed under the blades. Sometimes the grip is uncomfortable when adjusting to shave different areas. Small quibbles - performance is great!

    Very disappointed!

    This razor was too expensive. It takes way too long to shave and I end up with what feels like a five o'clock shadow and my face is sore all day long from trying to get a close shave. It definitely is not THE ULTIMATE SHAVING EXPERIENCE you advertise.

    Great shave

    I first tried the shaver with a shave cream and it gave me a very close smooth shave. The next time I used the shaver, I used it completely dry, I also found this to give me a real smooth close shave. It is great being able to flip open the shaver heads and run them under hot water to clean them out, and leaving them open and laying on a paper towel takes care of any water that is left over from cleaning the shaving heads. This is the first shaver that I have owned that allows me to shave around my adams apple without having to pull my skin in either direction. Some people complained about the size of the side burn trimmer, true it does seem a little small compared to other shavers I have had, but that does not diminish its ability to trim ...
