- 5 out of 5 stars review3/2/2011Very good micorscope with multiple view options. I use it for checking my cattle (I'm a cattle rancher) for specific types of parasites and other disorders and the magnification and the ability to store images are a real advantage as I can forward them to a vet 100 mi. away.
Large Cattle Ranchers Dream M-scope
Rancher1 - 5 out of 5 stars review12/29/2011We got this for my 11 year old grand daughter and it was great. She spent all day looking at different slides and even had me give her a little blood to view. The microscope is very easy to use and understand. The LCD is bright and very clear. We were very pleased with the product. Oh yes I can't say enough about the fast shipping we received.
A great product for beginer or expert.
Zugg - 5 out of 5 stars review12/18/2010This microscope is my daughter's favorite. Very easy to use without the need of instruction although the user guide is good with step by step pictures. It is amazing when you see the housefly leg at more than 100x magnification. The sample slides are good but I was more excited to see my own skin hair under the scope. The camera can take photos and then be downloaded. I wish it could directly display video in the computer.
My Daughter's Favorite
ActionSister - 5 out of 5 stars review12/5/2010LCD Screen on this microscope really makes it a fun product for kids to use.
Best Microscope for Kids
RogerD2020 - 4 out of 5 stars review5/21/2012Great product...My kid loves it! There could be a more powerful light to illuminate the specimins on the slides though.
Great Microscope for my 10 year old
Ektorsketch - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/6/2013Sturdy construction, video display is great for sharing the experience, top and back lighting makes for clear observations of just about anything worth looking at. Would be nice to have more on-board memory for image capture (especially since memory is so cheap now) but inserting an SD chip resolves the issue. Operation and image controls are easy to learn and use. Good buy if you have younger ones (mine are pre-teens) interested in science and exploring.

My3andme - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/31/2013Parents know what it's like the night before Christmas, preparing gifts that needs to be assembled and working before the next morning. I opened up the nice carrying case for the microscope and started on the assembly, I attached the LCD screen because I knew my 10 year old would like that feature. My disappointed came when I plugged in the microscope, the cord had a short in it, so every time I touched the cord it would flicker or shut off. To get us through Christmas morning I had to tape the cord to the side of the microscope so it wouldn't move and shut off. I returned the microscope to the store and will order another one, if the cord doesn't work I will return it again. I made sure I ordered this from Walmart.com and not through Marke...
Microscope is nice but had to return
jjpo - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/8/2013Product is a microscope first with a digital camera/viewing attachment that replaces one of two eye pieces included. Scope was fairly well built of metal. Stage position had a bit of lateral play but once properly engaged made consistent fine movement. Main focusing controls were solid with good control. Specimen slides were ok if uneven. Several specimens were included such as brine shrimp eggs and sea salt. Under stage lighting was fair to good, top lighting was unusable. A powerful white LED was mounted in the scope body unfortunately all it illuminated was the stage scale. I searched in vain for a way to re-aim the light with no luck the LED does have an access cover for light replacement. Viewing opaque objects was a disappointment wit...
Not a toy but could be better designed.
Pdxpogo - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase2/15/2013I was excited when I first saw it. However when we got it home and set it up my first disappointment was that it only had one eye piece. I thought from the picture and notes it was two. The screen gives a distortion that I don't care for. My daughter who is 10 really thinks it is neat to see the slides and we even pricked ourselves and examined our red blood cells, though I couldn't make out the white ones and I blame that on the microscope mostly. I did take several science courses for nursing so I think I got spoiled with the microscopes at the school. In the end, we will keep the microscope because it fits where my daughter is at right now. If she continues to show interest then we may "move up" in quality. It's cool that you can hook th...
it's not like you used in physiology/anatomy class
