If the food is not perishable it should be fine.  Appears to seal very well.

It is two separate pieces one is the lid the other the bottom. The locks are attached to the bottom piece and click it together.

Take note what it says in the above description: Set includes 4 Large Deep boxes

Often when they say 4 piece it means 2 lids and two totes/tubs. I would be inclined to say from the pricing of 1 unit that this is 2 totes and 2 lids. If you do order or if anyone above would like to answer this question with experience, that would be a great help. Please let us know, how many totes and how many lids did you receive in this order of of 4 piece??

Use these black Ziploc bins in my garage for storage on shelves...they are really good at sealing and locking out dust, etc;  Saves a lot of room and able to label the bins easily; wish they had more in stock; have to order online but at least I can.

GARAGE Saver

I have bought 12 of these in a darker color  to store my fabric . I love how tight they close. The size is perfect for me to handle as well. These clear ones will allow me to see what's inside but still be organized. The only drawback is sometimes when they are delivered there might be a hinge that is off or the seal that is loose. Usually you can just pop it back in but occasionally you might need to replace a part. Walmart stands behind their products to make it right for you if they can. I'm satisfied with this product.

Good size, nice seal

I wanted a container to store fabric in  our metal building (concrete floors). After reading the reviews I choose The Black Ziploc 60 quart Storage containers because of the following reasons:

1. Ziploc has a foam seal and 6 clips on each box to keep out moisture and bugs. (Several reviews said they stored clothes in basements/attics without problems)

2. The black color keeps out sunlight that could fade fabric. It also looks a lot more organized when you can't see a bunch of fabric stacked on top of each other.

3. The containers hold 50-60 lbs. Fabric weighs a lot and so the weight limit is not to heavy/light for me to pick up if I stay within this limit.

4. They are stackable. Because I like to grab a middle box out of the stack, I plan on building shelves to store around 4 high x 2 containers wide. This allows me to pull out a middle container without upsetting the stack.

Cons: when you are buying 12 or more at one time, the cost gets a little expensive. Wal-Mart had the best price plus free shipping. 

After reading reviews and purchasing 12 containers at one time, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Black Ziploc 60 quart Storage Containers

I got these to store winter clothes after the winter season, the more I use them the more I love them. I not only got the large  size , I also got the small size. I then got the large size  in both clear and black color.   The lids have a foam  gasket that seals out dirt and bugs from contents stored in the container. The darker containers are  good for keeping out sun light , and the clear containers let you see whats inside.  The lids lock down to seal tight keeping out what you want kept out.

Great Product

I use these boxes for storage in my basement.  I store everything in them from off season clothing to Photo Albums. They fit perfectly on my storage shelves.  I love them.  They are far superior to Sterilite.  I wish Walmart carried more in their stores.

Really nice boxes.  However, i do notice the sides seemed to buckle a little.  i need them to stack 5 or more high.  hope this doesn't present a future problem.  Otherwise, they were everything I was looking for: firm locking with gasket and stackable.
