I would not use this stool outdoors unless it is protected from the elements. It is made of wood and has a varnish on it - but it would not hold up for a very long period of time in the weather. Of course, if you have the money to replace it every 6 mo - a year . . . why not?!

Not really as it is solid wood. Where I live there is a lot of humidity.

This is NOT an outdoor stool. The wood would not hold up to water exposure.

No, unless you bring it in as soon as your done and there is no rain or high humidity to make the wood swell!

Re Saddle Seat Stool 24", Walnut. Is this an outdoor stool?

i only have a 1.5 yr old and he for sure could not use it. maybe?

my four year old uses it no problem....it has a bar that goes across the bottom...maybe 6" from the floor that she uses to get onto the seat! She is 40" tall.

Most dining tables are 30" high from floor to top. At 24", these stools would leave 6" of clearance. You have to consider:
1. How thick is the tabletop?
2. Is there a skirting that runs vertically underneath the table?

My table top is ~3/4" thick, but it does have a 4" skirt that is set back ~5" from the edge of the table, which means that my kids would not be able to fit their legs under the table.

If your tabletop is up to 1" thick and there is nothing else for little knees to bang into, then the 5" clearance should be plenty.

I think they may be too high for a 30" high dining table. They are otherwise stable and comfortable for my three year old grandchildren.

Yes this would work for a 3 year old.. my daughter is 3 and loves to sit on it, but NO this stool is too high for a regular dining table.. Look for an 18" stool instead.

It probably would, but just set up a chair with a stack of books on top, up to 24" from the ground just to double check first.

My husband 250 pounds, and this is work for him

the weight limit is listed on the bottom of the stool, states its 220lbs

I beleive it's 225 or 250, but i'm 260 and losing LOL and have no problem.

My 200 pound husband sits on them with no problem

I ordered 2, ebony/walnut, to etch a design and restain it. They worked great for my needs and the price was right.
Its decent wood with a nice finish that hides any imperfections on the wood itself.
Would definitely buy again.

Have only put one together as shown in pic, the ebony is still flat packed.
