The beeps were plenty loud enough for me, tho I&#39;m not a terribly sound sleeper. I did hear it from another room with the door closed one time, when I got up early and forgot to turn it off, so it&#39;s pretty good--especially considering the size of the clock. I guess it would depend how heavy a sleeper you are.

It&#39;s not Loud enough to wake a featherweight sleeper. That was the first try out of the box. 0 for 1 and I returned it.
In the past, I had a different brand of a similar type and it lasted over 15 years perfect as long as you changed the little button battery.

I just purchased this clock, 9/9/16.  I do not think that the alarm is loud enough to wake the average sleeper.  If there is any other background noise I believe that the alarm sound would not be heard.  Otherwise it is an OK clock.

The Westclox Slim Fold Up Travel Alarm Clock uses an included type 303/357 battery. The clock can light on demand so the time can be read in the dark.

You can press the button on the top of the clock to turn the backlight on in the dark, but it&#39;s not on at all times. It uses one of those little disk shaped batteries.

Yes it can.  Squeezing the bar at the top turns on the light.  Battery is a button type, CR2032, and easily accessible through a slide cover.

Yes, you push the button on the top and the backlight of the digital numbers lights up for 4 seconds.  The battery is a button cell, which comes with the clock - hopefully I will not have to worry about replacing it for a long time, but it is a standard one.

I was amazed that even though this clock is very thin and light,  the numbers are still large enough to easily read.  Neat that it also shows the date and day of the week. 

I bought the Westclox to replace a digital travel alarm that I bought in the early 1990's that stopped working.   The old one was about 6 times the size of this Westclox and was much heavier.  So the Westclox will be much better for traveling (things have improved since 1990).  If the Westclox lasts 25 years like my old clock, it will be a super deal.  By the way, I saw the identical clock listed for higher prices at other websites, so with free pickup I really saved at WalMart.

Small but efficient

These are great little clocks.  They last forever.  I only bought this one to replace one I left in a hotel room.  I use it all the time, even at home.  Easy to set and use.  Much better than any of the travel clocks which require batteries.

Great little clock

I use this little clock to wake me up everyday. Cellphones emit harmful waves and plug in alarm clocks have electricity next to your night stand. It is easy to program and durable. I take it when I travel.

Amazing alarm!

I ordered this recently and absolutely love it.  It was very easy to set up and has a light to turn on at nite which I so appreciate.  Alarm is also easy to set up and I will definitely be using this clock for years.   It was a very good price too.  I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Great Travel Alarm Clock

Attractive display and backlight color.  Nice to find a clock like this that is ultra light due to its use of a disc battery (much lighter than AA or even AAA batteries). I actually use it at home due to pleasant alarm sound that doesn't screech and jar wife and kids awake when it goes off. Only point to be aware of is the alarm-on indicator is somewhat small to spot but you get used to it.

I like these clocks as they are reasonably priced, last a long time on batteries, are convenient for home & travel.  Additionally, they seem to keep acccurate time.

This little clock is great for travel.  It folds up so it takes up very little room in a suitcase or travel bag.  Also it has 3 ways of waking you up, starts out slow, then gets louder and faster, by the time the "third" speed and sound kicks in, your awake and ready to start your day.

Great for travel

I had an older model Westclox clock I loved, with fewer features (only the ones I needed: time and alarm), and smaller. It lasted maybe 20 years. This one on my third trip when I opened my bag upon arrival the display was totally not working. The battery worked (the night light part worked), but the display was broken not displaying any digits/segments unless squeezed, then they were random. I'm in Europe, and there aren't any Walmarts nearby to provide a replacement. I am not satisfied. If it worked, it was an ok clock, but still too big (half deck of cards) where half the height would suffice if useless display data were removed.

Not reliable

When I went on line looking for a clock; I was in search for a digital atomic clock. Once I received the three clocks, I realized NEITHER were Atomic Clocks. Neither had seconds available. I think Walmart need to filter their products better to avoid returns, to allow the consumers to purchase exactly what they are searching for.

Read instructions to set time and battery appeared to be dead.  Instructions to open battery case did not align with the back of the clock, so did not know how to replace the battery.
