Hello Jordan, newly purchased units tend to allow a bit of smoke to escape, and continued use of the grill will build up a carbon seal over time. I got this about a month ago, and haven't used my gas grill since.  My wife was skeptical the food was going to have too much charcoal flavor, however last night she had seconds of our chicken we made.  It's been fun to learn and great tasting food.  This is our 3rd bbq on our deck; we have a smoker and we have a Weber Genesis and it's absolutely great

Real Barbecue!

Great grill, good price, will last forever, versatile! Ive cooked on it over 10 times in the first month of ownership.  Upgraded from an 18 inch to this.  Can say enough, glad i added it to my collection of grills.

What is there to say? Weber Mastertouch is build like a tank, finished like a piece of art & performs like a champ. Absolutely the best thing you could do with your hard-earned money is buy yourself a weber.

Very versatile .. I wasted so mich time and effort but let's not forget the money part.. I've spent over 1,800.00 on different grills and smokers .. sure there are other methods of grilling and smoking meats but wow the 22” is phenomenal .. it's my go to and never getting rid of it

This has been a great experiment for me, I abandoned charcoal decades ago in favor of gas grills. While I love the immediacy of gas, walk out, click start it and in five minutes you're cookin'. With that said there is something primal to using this Weber Kettle. First, it's intentional, you have to plan for it.  Second, It brings me back to warm Minnesota summer days. My dad and I would sit on the back patio and grill a chicken while talking, sharing a Grain Belt beer and listening to the Minnesota Twins play-by-play on the radio. It was more of a shared event... and the end result was almost as good as the company.

A Shared Event

I absolutely love this grill! I have had it a month now and have used it almost every night. I look for reasons to use it. I'm impressed with how well the lid seals and holds temps. I used the snake method for a shoulder and it help perfect temps for 7 hours. This is by far the most versatile grill I have ever used and a MUST HAVE for anyone's collection!

Cooks great. This is my 4th one to own. Would not buy any other brand. Worth the money spent to get it.
