    Great Addition to Dental Care

    Customer review by Glucas

    5.0 stars by Glucas

I just love this product! I do not understand at all the comments made by others in relation to having to fill it. I typically fill one time with water and one time with a mix of water and mouthwash. No fuss, no problem. Cleans my teeth well. Easy to keep clean. just rinse it and store. Maintains a charge for almost a week of daily use. I give it an "A"

I have bridge work that I need to keep for a long time and my last waterpik last more than 20 years. This one is so much easier to use and I use it every day.

I bought this because I had to get better with my oral hygiene and I had some bridge work done. My dentist is please and so am I. I am in love with it. I also bought one for my daughter who has braces and she loves it. She can get the food particles from between her brackets without having to pick at it all the time. Well worth the money.

    • you can either call the phone number in your manual if you still have it around or go on the waterpik website. On the waterpik website, you can also sign up for coupons that are pretty good for waterpik as well as the showerheads they offer. Some of the coupons are for upto $20 off.

wondering if you still need to floss in addition to using the waterpik?
    by an anonymous customer 12/14/2010
    • I brush, floss and waterpik.

    • The dentist said no. I use it more often, but flossing afterword is more of a breeze because the waterpik blasts most of the food and the plaque out so flossing afterword is just for reinforcement.

    • No not really unless you feel the need to get between very close together fitting teeth. I have several crowns that food tends to get trapped in between and so far it has done a very thorough job for me.

    • I work in a dental office, and I've heard our hygenist and doctor tell patients who DONT like to floss to use this, but it is still better to floss, I can tell a hugh difference between the two. This paticular water jet isnt powerful enough to replace flossing completly!

    • It depends on your needs. If you only need routine oral hygiene care, I would say yes. However, because I have special requirements (implant & bridges) I still use floss occassionally to insure nothing is caught in the hardware.

I don't see a tank or a hose, is it stored in the handle?
    by brucec30 6/12/2011
    • Yes, it's stored in the handle. You'll probably have to refill it once or twice to finish the job, but it's easy to fill.

    • Yes, the water is stored in the blue part of the handle. You fill it by lifting up a small cover at the top of the handle. Good for about 30 seconds of use.
