I have it in my bedroom but it doesn't add any light. It is definately more for ambiance

I am using this light in a 12x14 bedroom and it does very well. It has a dimmer switch so you can adjust the intensity. I love my lamp and use it every day.

this rock is a good size 1 will do in a 10x10 room

The smaller the room, the more intense the ionisation effect will be. This is probably good for a medium-sized room.

I use mine in an approx. 10 x 10 room and it works really well.

The info sheet says 2 pounds per 10 square feet is recommended. I recommend you put it in your bed room as close to your bed as you can.

This size is best for a bedroom. Purchase larger salt lamps for larger rooms. I have a 25 pound lamp. It covers my whole downstairs, living, kitchen, dining, and half bath. Approx 1000 sg feet. Keeps bugs out also! No bugs upstairs either. 1500 sq ft home.

There are no standards for how many negative ions per cubic foot are beneficial. Put one in each room and enjoy the warm light, knowing it is doing something beneficial.

Not that I know of. I've heard you should keep them around electronics to trap all the emissions. I keep one next to my tv. It is always on, just dimmed low at night.

I have used it for a week and it is just above my TV in a small recess (less than a foot away). I haven't noticed the difference.

This salt light is attractive, unique, and a conversation starter! I ordered this after seeing it as a deal for Christmas. I missed the deal, but even paying the full price, I'm very pleased with my purchase. The box appeared pretty trashed, but after inspection, we realized that it is natural for the stone to draw moisture from the air, hitch will make anything it is placed in for length of time will be affected. After wiping down our lamp with a towel, it was placed as a night light in our bedroom. It has a wonderful warm glow that can be easily dimmed. I've yet to notice any air cleansing, but I have already decided to purchase more for the kids' rooms and living room for lighting.

So pretty and unique

Ordered 4 of these shipped to my house-I love the product-kept one for myself, gave one to my Brother for his Birthday-issue was that Walmart packaged them each in their own individual boxes-with just a little bit of paper which did not hold the lamps secure inside box and the boxes were not marked Fragile. Only 2 were not damaged-will be returning the other 2 to the store-Will order 2 more, however will have shipped to store for pickup so I can inspect them there to ensure not damaged.

I first saw these when visiting my sister in Canada and always wanted one.
I finally came across this on Walmart web site and was thrilled, so I bought two.
They look awesome on both sides of my fireplace.

It's pure magic...I can't stop looking at it and I want it on constantly. It has an on/off switch and includes a dimmer so you can use it as a night light. It is a lovely and 'large' size, as I was expecting a much smaller one. You have to purchase your own bulb for it. If you put a red bulb inside, it makes it glow in that deep peach color, exactly like the picture of it here.

I Sooo Love My Salt Lamp

I bought 2 of these, one for my living room and one for my bedroom. I was skeptical of it actually working to do anything in the way of relieving breathing/pain, but the day I turned it on, the air got cleaner, and my bad foot that I had surgery on last year that always hurts has almost stopped hurting completely. I have fibromyalgia too, and I am noticing less back and neck pain. Still waiting for the breathing improvements people have experienced....I already had a sinus infection when these came, so it will be interesting to see once I am better if maybe I won't get another one for a really long time. The only one tiny downside I can give is that the wooden base of one of the lamps came with a crack in it, but it looks like it was a natural defect of the wood. Other than that, no complaints - the light it gives off is very soothing and I like the dimmer feature!

Definitely worth the price, great bargain!

This lamp is beautiful! I placed it on my bedside table,also added a candlebra bulb with a higher wattage because the lamp wasn't getting warm.After doing so,I could actually feel the difference in my rooms air quality. My lamp hasn't put off any water(yet) but I did place a towel underneath just incase.

Himalayan Iconic Natural Salt Lamp

bought this for each of my 3 grandchildren. they each had nightlights but still wanted the hall light on because the nightlight wasn't bright enough. These lights provide a brighter light that is soft and soothing. It glows almost pinkish-golden. My grandchildren love them, watch them at night and they softly soothe them to sleep. No more hall lights on for us!

warm glow

My whole family kept getting sick (like every other week.) Figured what could it hurt to try it.  When I first received the lamp I would have it on during the day (we felt great) and turn it off while we slept (we would wake up stuffed up.)  Now it is on 24/7 and everyone feels so much better.  We also use the salt candle burners as well. A must have in a Florida home.

A must have in every home

The lamp is what it shows and I really do like it, but there were a few things that could have been better. The wood base could have been refinished nicer, the coating was thin. Also, the cord stunk to high heaven and the switch placement put it almost on the floor when the lamp was placed on an end table. We took the switch off, replaced the cord (~$1.50) and reattached the switch nearer to the lamp base. I've never had a cord smell like that before. The reastat is a real plus and now that the original cord issues are gone, I love the lamp.

Plastic cord smells bad, otherwise a great lamp

for the size it is about 10 lbs almost a foot high) this is a great value compared to the prices elsewhere. however i bought 2 and had them shipped to the store (not in stock at my store) and one light worked and one light did not. easy but disappointing to take back. it has a dimmer so that is a great function also.

I thought the dimensions were of the stone and thought for the money, it would be a good deal. It ended up to be the dimensions of the box and the stone lamp was smaller than expected. I returned the six that I ordered. As for the stone itself, I have a large one in my livingroom and feel the warmth it gives to the room.
