I believe it fits almost any camera out there.

The standard female tripod thread on MOST cameras is ¼-inch course thread (20 tpi or threads per inch). However, larger expensive movie cameras like ones used by studios to shoot movie scenes or what the news reporters carry to broadcast live news have ⅜-inch course thread (16 tpi).

Does this tripod hold the Vivitar DVR 1440HD?

Even though this tripod is cheaper than most, don't be thrown off to think its not worth it. In fact, its a great tripod for anyone. I'd deffinately recommend it.

Great Product!

The plastic tilt-pan head that the quick release plate is attached to is plastic. The plastic cracked and is irrepairable.
